“Garden Craze”

My collection was inspired by some pictures I saw online that made me think, “Wow, I really like this design.” I wanted to make something involving flowers because it’s something that requires not only detail, but also a lot of colors. Who doesn’t love colors? I started with wheel-throwing some pieces, but I ended up not liking how they looked when they dried. That’s why I really got into hand-building. I tested my luck with pinch pots and slab trays, and I liked them! I wanted some variety, so the pinch pots I did make were different sizes. Despite me not liking most of my wheel-thrown pieces, I did like one of them, so that’s also in my collection. Most of my pieces were glazed, but I used underglaze on a few of them. In the end, the collection turned out pretty nice. I hope I get the chance to continue working wit clay!
